Vanessa Goold

Vanessa Goold is a garden coach and consultant with a passion for native plants. She has been gardening since she was a small child growing up in rural Vermont, but only discovered the value and importance of native plants as an adult, while reforesting and caring for an eight-acre property on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

She loves working with plants, talking about plants, and learning about the wonders of the natural world. Vanessa is excited to help others at whatever stage of the process they are in, whether that means just starting to add a few native plants to the mix, or reimagining a fully native ecological landscape.

Vanessa has a Certificate in Ecological Gardening from Mt. Cuba Center in Hockessin, DE. She is a Master Urban Gardener, a certified Maryland Woodland Steward, a Fairfax County Tree Rescuer, and is currently a Master Naturalist Trainee. She also has a Master of Arts in Urban & Environmental Policy & Planning from Tufts University.
